I recently completed my postdoctoral training in genetics at the Harvard Medical School and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and am currently a visiting scientist at the Broad.
I grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh and moved to the USA to study physics at Caltech. After finishing my undergraduate studies, I moved to Boston to pursue a PhD in astrophysics at Harvard University under the supervision of Prof. Ramesh Narayan and Dr. Jeffrey McClintock. My postdoctoral research experience spans multiple disciplines including computational neuroscience, neuroimaging and genetics. I held a Swartz Fellowship at the Center for Brain Science at Harvard during which time I studied the structure and the function of the human brain using Magnetic Resonance Imaging. My current research area is genetics - using large scale datasets I am trying to understand the relationship between genetic variants and neuropsychiatric disorders and complex traits.
